In this save, Mandchuria gets conquered by the USA.
The USSR should be the logical conqueror.

EDIT: I believe there is also a second bug in that save:
The territory of North Borneo should have been conquered by the British (they own the one port) but this did not happen. I'm unsure about the internal status for Brunei, but this should be checked as well.

Not by the rules of the game. Whoever takes the last city/factory needed for conquest is the conqueror, not necessarily who takes the capital.

This is no bug.

Are you sure, Paul?

As I understand it USSR controls the capital and USA controls Mukden with two factories. Should not priority one in the rule I cut in below award it to USSR? The capital should count as three factories and is therefore more than the two controlled by USA. Right?

quote:

If more than one major power from the same side controls the capital and printed factories in a home country,
the major power with the greatest influence in that home country is the conqueror. Use this priority to determine who
has the greatest influence:
1. Whoever controls most factories in the home country (with the capital counting as an additional 3 factories
for this calculation).
2. Whoever has the highest garrison value (see 13.1) in the home country.
3. Whoever occupied the home country’s last factory or capital city.

Courtenay -> RE: Conquest of Mandchuria (10/12/2014 10:14:20 PM)

No. Here is the rule:
quote:

Use this priority to determine who has the greatest influence:
1. Whoever controls most factories in the home country (with the capital counting as an additional 3 factories for this calculation).
2. Whoever has the highest garrison value (see 13.1) in the home country.
3. Whoever occupied the home country’s last factory or capital city.

Since Manchuria only has two factories, the only thing that matters is who has the capital. The USSR owns the capital. Thus Manchuria should have been conquered by the USSR.

So the program does have a bug.

A much more serious bug for this save is the fact that MWiF runs very slowly on it. I don't know why, but it would be very nice if this save could be speeded up.

Not anymore.

Courtenay,
Aren't you forgetting garrison value? The country with the highest garrison value could be the one getting awarded the country.

Omnius

It should not get to garrison value since priority one should always solve which country that gets to conquer Manchuria.

There was a bug in the program. Control of the capital should give Manchuria to the USSR.

I have fixed this for version 1.3.3.4.

Not quite. The fix isn't in accordance with RAW, I'm afraid...
