ORIGINAL: JiminyJickers Does placing artillery on elevated terrain help increase the damage or the distance the artillery can shoot, or does it have any other advantages? No, it just helps with LOS. Okay, now this is weird, but I don't find this to be true, I have tried placing infantry on the forward slope of a hill and artillery on the top of the hill one hex behind and I get a message saying they are blocked. Am I doing something wrong? The LOS should be clear and the ART should have a nice field of fire over the heads of the own INF. There needs to be a clear square between the guns and the troops they are shooting over. So put the troops on the forward slope, and the guns two squares behind.
