This is going to follow my first pbem game. I'm playing the Germans against Jess who is playing the russians, he seems to have taken my comments about how Katz rule over all personal. ;) Well, hopefully it will go well for me. Visibility is at 2, SS panzers are advancing at night through russian territory. First turn is over. Rockets exploded in the woods as my mechanized recon units charged forward in the dark to see who was in charge of the fireworks display. They ran into soviet recon units and made them retreat, dispersing one of them in the confusion. This should be quite a night. And... Katz are the best. :D

Reports come that indeed a recon vehicule has been abandoned by it's cowardly crew, who were discovered and executed. The recon vehicule who made the discovery took care of a soviet armored car near the empty recon car, a single shot through the turret took care of it. It then attempted to remove a soviet anti tank unit before it could cause trouble, but while pursuing the cowardly soviets it came face to face with a medium tank. We wont be getting recon reports from them anymore. Other recon units, on foot and mechanized ran into more soviet troops and armored cars, their position were given to the mortars who hopefully will help. I have to say that 2 vis is insane :D hehe

Must... resist ... must not install SP at work to play my turn.... arg... so hard... **** addictive game, just started and already can't wait to see what happened. I'm at work and will only be able to post my turn late tonight, have a dinner with friends. But don't worry, wont make you wait too long. Can't wait to win this and gloat. ;) The low vis actually might be putting me in a good position I think, of course it all depends on what you've got to throw at me. Oh, and I saw that you made some scenarios that are getting some very good reviews from those playing it on the forums. Are they available somewhere? I'm curious about that Market Garden one.

A tank is blown up the north but a recon squad gets pinned in the wood hopping rescue will come soon. An anti-tank squad gets pushed back and another soviet recon is pushed back in the south, while an armored car resists under fire and assaults, we will get those vh soon.

And so the night struggle continues. Up north my captured tanks are doing a good job at blowing up Jess's tanks trying to break through. In the south, ss infantry struggle against armored cars, and soviet troops, pushing them back far enough to take one vh and try to reinforce their line. In the center, troops assault a T34 like madmen, but can't manage to hurt it. Some recon squads are also pushed back or dispersed completly in the north. I don't think i'm doing too bad for my first pbem match, especially against Jess. :)

T34 vs. T34! but my drivers are better! ;) question...where are the German Panzers?? oh yeah right I forgot:p Its a solid mass of men and tankss meeting each other with a LOS of 2! Dead Germans all over the place as the RED-MIGHT rolls forward! back to dropdeaddrunkfred! :rolleyes:

I am going to have to agree as my troops curse at their equipment which can barely scratch the paint off the T34. The panzers are starting to come in, but the odds don't look good, they are completly overwhelmed by the number of soviet tanks. Thinking I should have taken more tanks for this battle now I think. Well, we learn from our mistakes, too bad so many SS had to die for me to learn. But it's not over yet!

You might be killing SS soldiers, but i'm killing T34 , KV-2 and other tanks. :) The front up north is treatened by massive amount of tanks. But we've managed to punch through in the center it seems, unless we're missing something in the dark. Now that we've broken through, time to envelop the remaining soviet forces. Down south the woods are burning under the advance of soviet flame tanks. We unfortunatly have to go in at extreme close range because of the low visibility. My artie made me happy by knocking out a super heavy soviet tank. The shell landed right on top of it. While the soviet rockets are extremely inaccurate and only manage to kill trees.

You know you've broken through the line when you reach the transport trucks. The center front seems pretty much taken, unless soviet reinforcements start to come in. Will need to get ready to protect the VHs. The north front seems like a lost cause, too many tanks, not enough men. But we're giving them trouble, the occasional FT team hidden between their tanks give them trouble. And always good to have troops in their line to spot for artie. The south is holding, both sides are losing units, but the soviets seem to be losing tanks, while we only lose a few men in our squads. And we're currently holding the VHs there. We are currently holding almost all the VH, we need to hold on against the armored assault. Learning a lot from this battle, it's fun. :)

Our forces are in bad shape. We're holding the center and pushing through, but the north is all but lost, and the south is going to hurt soon, lots of tanks have been spotted there as well, we'll try to hold it.

We have lost the vh in the north and south, the center holds well and is breaking through. We are trying to delay the strong soviet advance. Could have used more panzers, but we can only hope that my men are able to knock off more soviet tanks.

This Battle is very up-close and personal :mad: there are burning tanks everywhere. most of which are mine!:mad: The north is won , the south is still un-sure and the center is being reinforced, defending and mounting counter attacks! Dont give up yet Fred...:eek:

I'm not giving up yet :) More soviet tanks are killed, two are even killed by broken down ss squads that got left behind the ennemy tank rush in the north. More tanks are also killed in the center and the south, the only casualty we took are some brave crewmen who were sent forward to scout. :D This is quite a nasty fight, fires everywhere, craters, it's also turning into a soviet tank graveyard. Also one of our special ops squad appeared near many ennemy troops, and managed to destroy a machinegun as well as injure another.

Sorry for the delay. Well my forces are getting slowly drained. This will have been a very bloody engagement for both side I think. :)
