MatBailie -> Main Screen Missing Key Rendering (11/9/2014 9:43:21 PM)

Hi,

I've just moved from using a 1080p laptop with an nVidia GTX660M, to a 1440p desktop with an XFX HD 7950 (plus two extra monitors driven by the on-board graphics on the i5 2500k), and things have gone a little awry.

On the main galaxy view a whole host of rendering is missing...
- The "Sector Grid" and the A-H, 1-8 labels
- Long Range Scanners
- Empire Influence
- Travel Vectors
- Fleets & Ships
- Colony / Capital location
- Base locations
- Star system names

Some of it does work...
- Fleet Postures
- Potential Colonies
- Scenic Locations
- Research Locations

I have tried:
- Closing and Re-opening
- Shutting down and restarts
- Uninstalling, rebooting, re-installing (through Steam)
- Rebooting without the two extra displays
- A rain dance (no, really, I tried it)

I've attached a screen-shot, please could some-one advise me on options, or what other details I can provide to assist debugging.

Cheers,
Mat.

Solved in another post:

Options - Advanced Options - Clean Galaxy View

Strangest options I've ever seen.

Did you turn it on?

MatBailie -> RE: Main Screen Missing Key Rendering (12/7/2014 1:03:06 PM)

Found it in the options from the first screen (before loading a saved-game, rather than after). Turning it "Off" fixed my problem.

I have no recollection of turning it "On" in the first place, so I presume I must have done so accidentally.

It was just a shame that it wasn't an option I could have found from Within the game itself :-/
