One of few things that I am not entirely happy with in newest patch are very low casualties (even in cases of rout)

I don't know that i agree with you. When I look at the details and see the disrupted numbers it seems correct to me. This is based on my active duty experience and historical research and Dupuy's books.

Casualties have never been completely realistic but you also have to factor in the attrition casualties between turns as part of your losses.
