ladc -> After Sicily questions ? (12/7/2014 4:00:11 PM)

Hello,

I am a complete beginner in WITW and I start with the Italy campaign.
I have completed the conquest of Sicily and I have a few questions :
- how can allied ground units cross the Messina straits ? is it a combat, a ground move ? is the move allowed only when opposing hex (Reggio di calabra) are empty ?
- regarding Amphibious HQ : after the amphibious assault on Sicily, my amphibious HQ have stayed in the debarkment hex... I want to reuse them in order to prepare a new amphibious assault to Mainland Italy but I have a few questions :
1- if I want to get the AFHQ back to a port, how can i choose the port ? if i click on "relocate unit", the AFHQ goes back to its departure port in Tunisia... how can I relocate it to a port in Sicily (Palermo) ?
2- How can target a new invasion hex in Italy ? Even with my AFHQ relocated to Tunisia, I cannot find a button to define a new invasion...

Thanks for your answers and explanations...

Serguei

- The straits are a ferry hex - if the enemy are on the far side use an Amph TF as a stepping stone.

To be clear AFHQ is not an Amph HQ - you need a unit like TF 545

- Amph HQs are seaborne - move them to a port of your choice in F3 mode.
- When you are in a port target in F4 mode - look at One Page Guide #3
