hey folks

have a few questions re: the 'colors' that show up when you do a 'show TF's' from the main screen:

1> So far as i can tell, a DARK red under endurance needed means there is not enough fuel. However, what does a 'pale' red mean? The TF *does* have enough fuel - when i check the individul TF screen, it has more than enough. So what is the pale red?

2> What does the 'orange' color under supply or fuel mean? I thought it meant spoilage, but i have some TF's that the oil or fuel goes orange within a day of leaving port. Whats that color mean?

3> for TF's that have refuleing in their waypoints - it doesnt seem the like the endurance needed factors this - is this accurate?

thanks!

See sections 6.1.3 and 6.2.13 of the manual.

thanks - but went through the whole pdf manual with the words 'orange' as keyword and found nothing. yes, orange was mentioned as part of ship damage and when base supply was less than 50% - but could not find it in relation to the TF screen. I looked specifically in those 2 places you mentioned as well, and they deal with ship movememnr on the individual ship screens, not the TF screen

thanks

From the aggregated TF screen, red (whether normal or washed out) still means the same thing; a TF without sufficient fuel.  Post screenshots of both the aggregated TF screen and of the individual TF in question if your OP statement #1 remains correct.

The orange is answered by what I directed you to.  If however you are referring to the cargo carrying load field, which was not what you asked originally, the orange means you are carrying resources instead of supply, or oil instead of fuel.

Again your third question is answered by understanding what is contained in the sections of the manual I directed you to.  What difference do you believe exists between having a port as a waypoint with refuelling enabled and having a port as a destination?  The display is telling you whether the TF has sufficient fuel to accomplish its task.
