Director, Operational Test and Evaluation (DOTE) is an advisory role to the US Secretary of Defense. Among other things they deliver reports on the status of pretty much every US weapons program.

The reports are grouped by year. They don't contain a lot of quantitative data on the systems. They do provide a lot of insight into the effectiveness of these weapon systems and any issues with the systems and future development areas.

This link contains the FY2013 reports.

There are reports going back to FY1999.

For example, the following is a report on the Sidewinder AIM-9X upgrade program.

There is a lot more gold to be found among the reports, including the LCS program, USS Ford CVN, Super Hornet, and F-35. The reports cover the weapon programs of all the US services. You could spend weeks going over all the reports.

Thanks for the link. I read through a few reports - the LCS report doesn't paint a good picture of the program - a litany of failures! The Tomahawk program on the other hand has consistently met its requirements. Very interesting.

Cheers
