Playing the Italian 43-45 campaign. First 20-30 turns focused on Sicily and the lower boot, air directives seemed to work fine, including ground support (which led to air attacks during the ground phase).
Turns in the 40's, now that I'm along a line across Italy at Naples, ground support no longer exists. I've got air groups in range, every HQ set to ground support missions. Automatic ADs = no ground support attacks during the ground phase. I manually set ground support for HQs... same thing, no ground support during the ground phase. Weather is clear, fatigue and morale is clear, air superiority and recon missions fly fine.
At a loss what I'm not doing when everything worked fine before. Obviously, it's impossible to fight in Italy without any air support... ?
