The HOA "Architecture" Gruppenfuhrer either got strafed by a P-51, got fired or left because I hurt her feewings.

She didn't answer of my emails so I called in yesterday and finally got through. ...."Gruppenfuhrer Palacios of 154 SA Abteilung is no longer with us" [:D]

The HOA chicks send me 15 pieces of threatening mail and when I finally answer they wilt on first contact[:D] Same thing happened the chick before Christine.

If they threaten to do anything illegal . . . [:D]

Then again, being in the medical profession and maybe knowing who their medical providers are, maybe see if things like colonoscopies may be needed! [sm=00000622.gif][sm=00000116.gif][sm=00000622.gif]

I think that would be unethical but being a smarmy, sarcastic, paternalistic old guy is expected.

So?

Then again, you are just being concerned about their welfare. After all, they appear to be constipated and full of compacted fecal matter . . . [:D]

I want to put in some bistro lights to use at parties but I figured they would give me **** so I left them off the plan but included them in the materials list.

The new Gurppenfeuhrer is not as stupid as Frau Palacios. She was on it right away. Now I have them get them signed off by the neighbors and send in new plans with "setbacks" to neighboring properties

Check your contracts and your addendums. (Spelling?)

Then again, redo your plans to make it really over the top and garish. Then when there are objections, scale it down to what you want and they might consider that a victory.

Of course, if the Gruppenfeuhrer visits and you offer her coffee or some other beverage with some token bite to eat, there could also be a plate nearby with some innocent looking, small pieces of what appear to be candy on a plate. Do not offer her any but don't keep her from eating any Ex-Lax either. [8D]

Then again, giving people some high oxalate foods on a hot day when they may not drink enough fluids . . . [:D]

Of course when some brown shirt on the board gets mad at the whole street for opposing the property split up the street there is no notification requirement to come out in the middle of the day, chop down some 25 year old rosemary bushes and put up a big ugly yellow sign on my tree row to tell people to turn right when every idiot can see the road bends.

How long is that sign going to stay up after a nice, dark stormy/foggy night? Acid makes no sound . . . [:'(]

Big raid on Darwin. I had moved the fighters up to New Guinea. Evidentarry JJ spotted this and surmised an opportunity. The problem is Darwin now has level 7 forts, four full AAA regiments and hundreds and hundreds of smaller AA guns. Also, once you put a hole in a Nell, the balsa wood tends to fall apart on the long way home to Kendari. 30-40 Nells lost.

6000 feet does seem a bit optimistic. The manufacturer's rep must have missed the briefing.

Yes, 6000 ft is OK for a front line base but not for SWPAC HQ.

Fighter sweep over Boela. Finally they are sending enough planes to do this stuff. Clearly the USAAF pilots are hotshots.

Interested to see what happens to the CVE Unyo. They tend to be fragile, as I recall.

My HOA cut down three of the four trees I had in the front yard. They replaced one with a crappy bush that seems to hate the California summers.

The HOA dues have outstripped inflation every year so far. I wish my investments could do so well...

Unyo was claimed sunk. Maybe. Maybe not. I had a bunch of subs along her escape route and no attacks so maybe so.

One time I double-paid a couple of gas bills and didn't discover it for a long time because I was busy or stupid.

Anyway. They keep the money but credit me interest. When I finally found out I was a little surprised they didn't try a bit more aggressively to reach me but the interest they paid was damn good. [:D]

I asked the girl on the telephone if I could transfer my IRA to SDG&E. She said she would have to ask her manager. I snorted I was laughing so hard.

Improbably, the approach of 85% of the US Pacific Fleet (and some of the RN) seems not to have been spotted

Cap Mandrake -> RE: At dawn we slept.....in the cab on the way back from Olongapo (1/29/2021 2:42:50 PM)

At least one BB and one CA and 4 CVE's are distracted in the PI and Borneo.

10+ DD's and 1 or 2 CA's at Singers

120 fighters and 110 bombers at Singers

100 fighters and 100 long range naval bombers at Kendari

70 fighters in the Moluccas

45 fighters on Ceram

80 fighters 100 bombers at Beazelbob

I think Guam has 20+ Vals and some Lillies

Pagan has some Vals

No combat A/C at Saipan or Tinian...yet

Today was the first recon of Guam, Saipan and Tinian for months so that will likely get JJ's attention but it seems the carriers and transports have not been spotted yet

Plan is to stage the carriers about 5 hexes off Guam and attack the AF with all the TBF's on day with a heavy CAP to absorb strikes. Then on night 1/2 naval bombardments of Guam and Saipan. The transports will lag because I wanted a carrier strike the first day we are spotte.

I am pretty sure the 30 "Aux" at Guam are transports evacuation Shinto Boys from Truk
