Fun Thanksgiving. Not as insanely warm as last year but nice enough to eat outside. We had a brined and then smoked turkey that was seriously good. Somebody invited a Canadian for some odd reason. He was missing a tooth from hockey but could really sing and play the guitar so when the sun when down everyone hung out by the fireplace outside and did sing-a-longs (sort of) and drank Scotch. Thank you pilgrims. That was fun.

I think JJ are trying to repair Koumac and attrit or air forces at Noumea. The SBD's head back to Suva and Norfolk and the operational B-17's and medium bombers fly in to Noumea for an attack on Koumac tomorrow. Noumea is at 4.95 and should go to level 5. Generally, one should not use P-40B's for a fighter sweep against hotshot Zeroes but we are trying to fatigue the defenders of Koumac by giving them blisters on their trigger fingers. A squadron of F4F's stayed in their bunks 70 of the Little Yellow Bastards over Koumac. They are still being covered by fighters from the KB while the KB stays out of attack range.
