Banquet -> Impressed with AI play (12/21/2014 10:24:08 PM)

I realise it's early days with the AI and I speak as someone who doesn't look for 'gamey' exploits to try and find it's weaknesses but, with that said, I'm really impressed and am tremendously enjoying playing against the AI.

I've played Husky a dozen times and am now on my 3rd restart of Italy 43-45 and I really feel like the AI is responding to my moves in a believable and intelligent way. I've had them on the run through Messina as they've tried to contain my breakout through the boot - but in other games they've put up a hell of a defence at Messina, requiring me to paradrop into Palmi and Locri to make progress at heavy losses.

I've seen the AI make big stands and then, as I beat against it's lines, close to breakthrough, retreat and form up again. I wish I had more time to play WitW but the few hours I've been able to put in has been thoroughly enjoyable and very challenging. I'm sure others have tested the AI harder than me but I haven't seen many complaints on the forum. In a day and age where programming a decent AI seems to get sidelined for other parts of gameplay I would like to congratulate the 2 by 3 devs for giving us a robust AI in WitW! [sm=00000436.gif]

Yes, Gary did a great job and steadily adjusted things after tester feedback.
