batek688 -> WAD- USER ERROR: DB Upgrade empties airfield magazines? (12/30/2014 1:15:27 AM)

I was running fine on the old beta. Upgraded to 1.06, and then did a database upgrade on a scenario (the big stick). The magazines seem to be partial now? RAF Akrotiri, NSA Souda Bay, and the US CVBG do not seem to have munitions for their strike aircraft anymore. For example, the the F/A-18As at RAF Akrotiri have nada avail. That wasn't the case before I did the "upgrade to current DB" since I was reproducing using "my normal" opening moves right after the 1.06 upgrade.

In case you aren't familiar with the scenario: most strike aircraft start unloaded. Nothing "hostile" triggers for about 5-6 hours. So the opening 6 hours was spent waiting on aircraft to arm while using ELINT/Surv aircraft to identify and locate everything. Then at some point, an event triggers turning Syria hostile and "weapons free!" Of course, after the upgrade I can't load them with anything but spitballs and christmas cookies.

Can you make a "passed-around fruitcake" load out for the B-2? Or perhaps "mother-in-law"? Both would be WMDs destroying everything in a big radius when dropped.

The airbase magazines will get wiped with a full upgrade. Please do read the section in the game manual that covers this but in short prior to updating you need io generate an ini file that preserves the info about what's in the mags and many other changes you may have made. You then apply the file to write back the info so it appears in your updated file.

Mike

Thanks, just wanted to check because it didn't wipe out ALL load outs which seemed odd to me. In retrospect, it was tanker loadouts working and the particular tankers did NOT include buddy stores (the one scenario I built used those which appear in the magazines).
