When resetting this forum password why can't you choose a new one? It seems that forum software just picks something in random and you have to live with it. That is odd and should change in the future...

I've used a few systems that assigned passwords rather than let the user choose his own password. The general idea is that most users choose bad passwords, which is true enough, so the system assigns a password that is hard to crack. The problem is that the assigned passwords are impossible to remember, but since almost everyone saves the password when they log in that problem is reduced.

Hey guys, I guess I don't understand your question. I have the ability to change my forum login password at any time. Are you talking about something else?

The easiest way to prevent fraud is to only reveal the new password to the account owner, and this is best accomplished by randomly generating a PW and sending it to the email address provided by to account owner. You can always change the PW to one of your own choice after the reset has been completed.

Hmmm.. Am I missing something.. from where can I reset the password to my liking? [:)] If that is doable than that is all that needs to be done.

Login to the matrixgames members club and go to 'my account'. In case you haven´t yet you can merge accounts there as well. Anyways, just click again on my account and there you select 'change my password'.

Yes. Simply go to the my account link in the members club and follow the instructions.
