herra -> Looking for help regarding United States Air force (1/3/2015 8:37:46 AM)

Hello,
I'm doing research on the united states Air force post world war 2, but maybe also including world war 2, Specific years between 1945 to 1965.
I'm looking for someone with knowledge of the service and also with the uniforms. If you can help please PM me and I can share more specific information.
Thanks for your time
John

Thanks for the reply, my research is on a personal level and I have photos that I would like to share with a person who might have knowledge to identify certain information from the photograph.

Maybe you should post your question on the War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition sub-forum as well. Many there do not visit the general forum and they do have a very high level of WWII knowledge. No idea if anyone there can be of help but it can not hurt to ask.

Don't overlook the Army Air Corps and the Army Air Forces which preceded the United States Air Force.

Back in 2006, 07 or 08 (I just can't remember) I found a nice PDF which was supposed to help me playing WitP (in fact I always use it whilst playing) [8D]

The PDF tells you where every single air squadron was located, deployed (campaigns).

Combat Squadrons of The Air Force WW2

Despite the WW2 thing, it covers the 50s and early 60s. I don't know if this might interest you though. The bad news is that it's too big to send (39 megas). The good news? I have found it again (less than 10 seconds via me mate Google [:D]).

Have fun

EDIT: this is an official site => Air Force Historical Support Division thing.
