I trying to figure out how to do a few things with the program audio w/o success:

1) How do I turn off the (irritating) music that plays during the individual game menus? Other than turning the speakers off, that is.

2) How do I turn off the (also irritating) screeching sound that plays when the first menu comes up?

3) Now that I think of it, how do you keep the picture from coming up after you exit the game (other than turning the monitor off).
It's just a nuisance that you have to get rid of before going to your next task.

Thanks, in advance.[&o]

I'll let the Dev Team's audio specialist, Crossroads, answer (1) & (2).

As for (3), nothing you can do about it now. But you'll be happy to know that (3) will be gone from the forthcoming Middle East game, and all future games and game updates, including for EF etc.

Here's the missing part:

1) Background music when selecting a scenario to play under Main Menu is Xbackg1.ogg. Replace with an empty file, or with your favourite tune, transferred to OGG format.

2) Those are the two WAV files in C:\Matrix Games\John Tiller's Campaign Series\AutoPlay\Audio

I wrote a little diary to mod the background and music files. More information there: LINK.

I'm pretty sure if you delete a file called ad.exe from the game directory, it will get rid of the pictures coming up when you exit.
