Mike are these standard PBEM or the ++ system? Which version of the game are you on? Can you get us a screen shot of the error message? Thanks.

Hi,

Its using Pbem++ and version 2.08. I have to stop the process through task manager to clear down.

Thanks for the extra info. Is this Steam or Matrix version?

Matrix. Running on windows 7 professional as Administrator.

Are the effected games new starts? Work these working then failed? Trying to narrow down the situations.

Now they were at different numbers of turns with different players all at about 10 to 15 turns.

Mike, can you try the "not enough data" work around pinned at the top of the Tech forum? Our thought since you are not on Steam is that your opponents are, is the data from them is getting corrupted. That corruption is in the header data from login. Rob will be working this bug this week and we will see if we can get it fixed. Can you check the Saved games folder for any .pbm type files. There is an off chance the in game turn saved since it failed to load. Also being the ++ system it is not easy to communicate with your opponent. If you can chat or email them, we would like to know if they are in fact on Steam.

Sorry for this issue and hopefully we can get it resolved quickly.

I have got exactly the same error as Nego.

(cannot post a link to screenshot of error for X days after 10th post ???....)

My version of game is a Steam version.
The 'Not enough Data' work around does not fix this, thats to manage to log in at all...this is a data corruption to all game files once you do manage to log in...and once it happens the only way out of game is Ctl/Alt/del :-(

I can happily give my login details etc to the devs if it will help you to be able to download files from known corrupting account?
(pm me or get my email from user details, you should have access to that shouldn't you.)

charlielamb -> RE: Pbem Games Lost not Loading (1/18/2015 8:41:39 AM)

Found a temporary workaround for this.

I found that single player scenario files had been created for the problematic pbem++ turns.
So deleted these files in the saved scenarios folder.

Then the pbem++ turns seem to load up ok after that.

Charlie, thanks for the information. Do you happen to know if your opponent is on Steam?

charlielamb -> RE: Pbem Games Lost not Loading (1/19/2015 5:39:35 AM)

I hope it is useful to you. Opponent is not using Steam version.

Thanks for the info. Passed it along to Rob.

I'm working on this but tearing my hair out still. I appreciate your patience and I am working hard to figure out what is going on behind the scenes in the code.

Fingers crossed I will have it soon, Rob
