16 February 1942 PHILIPPINES The Allies still harbour some teeth in the Philippines. The Japanese TF was enroute from Roxas to Batangas to deliver 1st Independent SNLF Coy as a blocking unit at Mauban should the solitary Allied unit east of Manila decide to make a move south. Fortunately the unit was spread over a number of ships so losses not too great but I certainly rode my luck. Luck was also not with the Allies as John D. Ford managed to score 2 torpedo hits but one of them was a dud. Damage to AK-t Sado Maru stands at 19 68(31) 45 (30) 01 and she is 1 hex from Batangas. Touch and go
she may just make it but likely a good transport is about to go under.
