Is there going to be any changes to the way units are allowed to build and blow bridges. At the moment it appears too easy to build or blow a bridge across a major river without engineer assets. By adding Engineer assets, it would mean that units would have to be allocated to protect them, and bridges would become more of a focal point of any attack. The main rivers in Germany are major obstacles and need to be treated as such with realistic timings and priorities for bridging assets to allow MBTs to cross.

Yes, there are a number of threads on engineering both explaining the current level of abstraction and also discussing the changes we plan to make in the next game.
