1943-45 Campaign and Husky went well. That was until the germans parked themselves in messina with lvl 3 fortifications. Despite bombing the merry hell out of the port the units were still able to draw supply.

Is it possible to isolate these units? If so how? I dont see how they can be drawing supply across the Straits. Is there a specific AD to prevent this? The interdiction levels are through the roof but they are just sat there grinning at me eating loads of bratwurst.

Thanks again for your continuing help and advice [:)]

Naval interdiction? Or ground? You can isolate any port by having Naval control of the seas around it. Did you interdict the Ferries or destroy them? Supply gets in there also. Check to see if the AI or who your playing is dropping supplies in, and set up an AS directive. Hope this helps.

Ah that must be it, I was concentrating on Ground interdiction, not naval. Ill set up some and see if I can put a stop to the flood sauerkraut.

Cheers

Ground attack has ferries as a target in the priority list. You have to use that to try and shut down the straits. You could also go the really expensive route and use two Naval Amphib units to block the straits - but the naval losses will be very high.

The best way is to isolate the Italian toe.
