Hi everyone,

This is the last update for the Close Combat series!

Bug Fixes:

- Fixed several issues that could cause a crash at the end of a battle, possibly resulting in the loss of the saved game file.

- Fixed a bug that could cause the wrong battle group to be penalized with a 1-2 team loss if the last battle in a turn ended by force morale failure.

- Fixed a bug with weapon value calculations, resulting in slightly different team values.

- Several minor changes to battle group default team selection to adjust the AI’s default choices to be the same or similar given the new team values.

There is no announced date for any of the above at this time. Also note that the bug fixes in Gateway to Caen are largely unrelated to previous games, with the exception of Panthers in the Fog. And the update for Panthers in the Fog is set to go out 'very soon now.'

I just reinstalled this product after it has been sitting on my hard drive (not working) for quite some time. The installation seemed to go fine, and I updated to the latest version, but the interface looks like its 8 bit from 1988 (discolored, obviously something wrong) and you cannot click on any tabs to make it work. So is this due to it not supporting newer video card drivers and operating systems? I am running windows 10 home 64 bit.

Microsoft dropped support for full screen 16-bit color mode in DirectX for Windows 8 (and now 10.) To work around this you can go to the game options dialog (Hit F8 if you can't easily click the button) and click the 'Windowed Mode' check box, then click OK, close the game, and restart.
