Not wanting to be the ill-augur bird but to me looks pretty much game over if in '40 the Axis is already bogged down. Belgium situation is very bad. And Japan is crippled already as they're not only not advancing in China, but losing resources to Soviets. And with Germany bogged in France, the Japanese cannot even hope in a Barbarossa '41. That safe miracles of the dices.

M/J 1940 Axis 2 No DoW Germany Land plus O-chit on Rundstedt, Italy Land, Japan Land. No Port Attacks. The German Nav flies to the West Med 3-box. The Italian Nav goes to the East Med 4-box. No strategic or carpet bombing.

Hmm I think to send the NAV out was a mistake - I'd have Ground Strike with as many planes as I could to pin down defenders with insight of the use of the OCHIT. The less they maneuver the better it is. And the more chance you have to Disrupt the better your combat odds are. The BEF is nicely out of air cover and can be attacked with the ENG unit doubled up (so double 2 units across a river at full strength), though that attack would pratically soak all of your OCHIT, but dead brits are dead brits. That is my opinion anyhow and as G-Strike comes first than Land Attack ...

I don't know if you would call the western front bogged down. The USSR on the other hand is taking quite a risk here, with that much units in Manchuria. If France falls next turn (which I expect will happen), they are in grave danger, since it takes an awful lot of time to railmove units back to the west. Sure the Western front looks good, but if the chit is used wisely, the French are in for a very nasty turn which should lead to a massive breakthrough of the German army...

Belgium fighters scramble to protect their French comrades on the ground. They are met by Me-110's. The Belgiums see the on-coming Messerschmitt's and decide not to die for France on this day. (Allies 9 AC, Axis 7 AA). Where do the Belgiums wish to land?

In Manchuria USSR fly with lower ground support value. China uses HQ support. France sends fighter-bomber as bomber and fighter (western) will intercept if you bring a fighter. CW uses artillery and bomber in Egypt. CW fly to Antwerp with fighter, Harrow and one bomber from London (higher air to air stays) Edit: 3 value HQ in France gives HQ support. I choose assault in every combat I can. Edit2: Harrow as front bomber. Ready to go!

Mao takes charge of the defence in China, as does Georges in France. The Japs send a 2-point Lnd to support Manchuria. The Germans send a Do-17 to Antwerp, escorted by 2 ME-109's. A Ju-88 goes to the Arm/Mech stack, escorted by the He-112. The Italians send a 3 point Lnd with Ftr escort to their effort in Egypt. Do the Allies wish to amend their ground support missions?

Gunners from the Royal Artillery open fire on the advancing Italians, while the RAF Whitley's take to the skies to try and intervene. Over Antwerp Hurricanes try to guide Harrows and Wellingtons into target. Having previously done so to good effect, bombs are again strapped to the Potez. It goes in escorted by the Lille fighter wing. Soviet Pe-8's make their first appearance in the skies over Manchuria.
