Peltonx -> (Closed) Soviet Opponent wanted - GC 260 VP 1941 (3/13/2015 11:01:16 AM)

1941 GC Sudden Death or Alt VC260 1.08.2
Server game
Locked HQ Support
Full FOW

House Rules:
No Para drops at all.
No bombing of air bases more than 3 times a turn (after turn 1)
No bombing of HQ's unless stacked with a ground unit
No naval invasions before November 1941, none outside the 1939 Soviet borders before January 1943
In addition if Sevastopol is either isolated, or in German hands, none west of the Crimea,
which reflects the scope for air/naval interdiction not really reflected in the game.

Additional Auto VC:
If the Axis player holds
Leningrad, Moscow, Voronezh and Rostov concurrently at any time in 1941 he wins
an Auto Victory. No need to waste any ones time as we all know the end results based on past games if these cities fall in 1941.

Optional Rules Setup:

Normal Blizzard Rules
Random Weather
No 1-1 = 2-1

PM if your interested

so you really are looking for a completely one sided game?

Interesting statement dude.

For us low IQ people what do you mean, your clearly 2x my IQ as I don't understand your statement.

I have played the best of the best and have not backed down from playing anyone.

The options are what people consider standard now.

no 1v1=2v1
NO mild blizzard.

Still not sure about the non random, I am leaning for a random weather vs a good SHC player and non-random vs someone new as I just want to get it over with asap.

Some people want mild blizzard and +1 attack, but that's to over powered for SHC.

I believe no 1v1=2v1 and standard blizzard is the best balance.

non random or random I don't really care at this point.

I only play server based games because of reloads and hack and even then I have helped bag someone on a server based game after 1.08.

PBeM its just to easy, I have gotten several people wanting to do PBeM and no server. I just am not going to risk wasting 100's of hrs doing PBeM unless it is a personal friend.

Mr P - do you fancy a rematch? Non-random weather ...

Basicly what every ones playing now, 1v1=2v1 is simply Middle Earth and why it was ever part of release no one knows.
Standard Blizzard is also non-historical and was made so because of all the HQBU exploits which were never nerfed until 1.07 and 1.08.

Mild Blizzard is historical.

With the current lack of obligation or incentive to use this when it hurts the Russian I've reluctantly come to agree. Russian attack losses are far too low and they can run away all summer, then suddenly discover they have an attack doctrine. Nice idea, poor implementation and subject to gaming. Hope to see it finer tuned in WitE2

It simply will not be part of the game, because there is no need.

With the combat hex added MP's, attacking will help even if your losing most of the time as Russians anyways in 41/42 summers.

And yes 1v1=2v1 was exploited to death and hoooper was the best at it. I would have done the same, if your offered an I win button you take it.

Pitaman -> RE: (Open) Soviet Opponent wanted - GC 260 VP 1941 (4/27/2015 10:31:06 PM)

Pelton,

I am willing to play you as the Russians. You can set the rules. I will just enjoy the experience of playing such an expert at this game. Let me know if you are interested.

Best regards,

Tom

Pelton,

Just finished my first turn. It would really be great if you did an AAR on our game. Would you be interested in doing that? Please advise.

Thanks,

Tom

Callistrid -> RE: (Closed) Soviet Opponent wanted - GC 260 VP 1941 (5/3/2015 11:01:08 AM)

Pelton, the mild blizzard, and no 1v1=2v1 rule balancing the game, but the perfect, and unhistorical opening on south (Lvov, Kowel, etc. pockets) not.

charlie0311 -> RE: (Closed) Soviet Opponent wanted - GC 260 VP 1941 (5/3/2015 2:46:36 PM)

Yeah really, or Morveal could put in the "Loki's cat" random generator. that is, the P plan is all set but, maybe AGC logistics didn't get the word (loki's cat ate the message) all the stuff went to Minsk, the Pzs in the South get frozen for a turn or two.
