Gents,

I know you're on a much deserved break, I was playing the new "Corvette Group off Bessay" scenario. In it, the British Frigate has two Sea Lynx helos, one equipped for ASW, the other ASUW, with 2 Sea Skua missiles. As I closed the distance painstakingly slowly to salvo my Harpoons, I wanted to also salvo my Sea Skua's which have an advertised range of 25 NM. I've attached a snippet of the Sea Skua data that showed in the database of only having a 1-8 NM range. Anyway, not a show stopper, but wanted to bring it to your attention

Sea Skua has "advertised max. range" of 25 km, not 25 nm. But official range is 15 km, which is about 8 nm.

KM is right, not NM, my mistake......but it says the seeker head has a range of 80NM? Is that right?

I don,t know if the seeker range is correct, but it's still a semiactive seeker head, a lot depends on the seaspray radar and launcher altitude.

Yes, there are quite a lot of weapons out there with seekers mismatched to their kinematics. Pre-BlockIII AIM-9X comes to mind (BVR-capable seeker, weak motor).

It's said that Sea Skua does better than 15 km (8 nm) kinematically, but I am not going to blame devs for sticking with official manufacturer figure. [8D]
