Brambo -> Patrol Reports (3/28/2015 9:38:50 PM)

I'm very new to this game and I decided to play one of the smaller scenarios, Return to Wake. I sent out a lot of patrols to get some intel. I recieved a lot of reports saying they had seen 9 jap ships about 80 miles nw of Pearl Harbour and about seven other reports informing me between 5 and 7 jap ships at various locations. I sent groups to all these locations and never found a single ship. After a few weeks (game time) and not seeing a single ship I decided to play the Jap side only to fid out he didn't have more than 3 ships. Are these patrol reports supposed to be this bad or is it a flaw of the game or should I train my pilots better. As I said I'm very new to the game so I might be missing something.

Thanks in advance
Trev

False and exaggerated reports & sightings were very common during the war, and this is how it's represented in the game. Higher skill pilots will give better info, but you'll still get reports of dozens of enemy carriers around every corner!

Thanks for the info, I thought it might be that, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything really stupid. Its a steep learning curve but really enjoyable and helped greatly by members of this forum.
