I've been doing some googling trying to find this webpage with a series of humorous comics caricaturing quintessential WWII military technology for each of the nations involved. For example, there was a Russian bomber that had about 28 engines or some nonsense and dropped several million tons of bombs! [:D] However, it 'required a runway 3 miles long, and burned half its fuel just getting airborne. One of the Japanese planes was a bicycle propelled glider that dropped baskets of rabid dogs! [:'(]
Anyway in poking around for this old page, I stumbled onto this wiki about "Gunner Dog"
