Don't be picking on my Marine Corps.
Depending upon where the wings are located it could be
1) rotational, 1 squadron needing a rest
2) tactical, getting a full strength squadron into a certain location
3) personal, VMF 254 squadron commander, requested reassignment because he didn't want to fly with "Pappy"
4) personal, VMF 154 squadron commander, requested reassignment because he did want to fly with "Pappy"
Although admittedly on the last two the Corps would not reassign the entire squadron to satisfy the squadron commander. (They would probably just tell the commander to suck it up.)
