I just finished the US Pacific campaign, proceeded to US Marines, and completed Operation Blissful & Goodtime. The Marines seemed to be granted hundreds more RPs than can be used. This changed my style of play, so I recommend: A) Op Goodtime involves the two raiding parties. These can carry out their objectives without reinforcement- 2 oil tanks for the northern group, 2 for the southern (be sure to walk into the victory village). One unit can destroy an oil tank in its first shot. Stick around only briefly using the PTs for fire support when you have local superiority to rack up the unit kills. B) Op Blissful should focus 90% of your strength on the smallest southern island. There's no threat to your naval forces- which also lend fire support and supply capacity for the flanking amphib landings on each open eastern space. When the little island is cleared, everybody pivots north and lands in front of the victory city on Mono's south central coast. Note there are deployment hexes on Mono's northern central coast. I deployed 2 units there, and landed east of the victory city. The defenders swarmed east and destroyed my task force. I rebuilt, redeployed, and landed west. The defenders swarmed west and destroyed me. No matter- the rich pool of resource points and close deployment hexes allowed me to repeat this and chip away at their strength. More command points were awarded after the main effort took Mono's southern city. That allowed me to reinforce the northern landing, stay ashore, and quickly prevail. A unit running up the east road and another up the west road took those objectives without a fight. I felt bad burning up units in landings that couldn't hold- but the previous Munda Point scenario was even worse...
