If using different teams, it also depends on what tasks they are on. Ideally only a limited number of AI units/teams are set to aggressive/active tasks at the same time, so it depends on the scenario setup. If all these units are throw into a single team with a "Seek & Destroy" task I can imagine the AI calculation will be very slow [8|]
