henri51 -> Freeze on move 20 of naval tutorial (5/5/2015 10:00:55 PM)

Everything went well until move 20 of the naval tutorial scenario, when I waited for over 10 minutes for the AI move to complete before I gave up. Same thing happened when I reloaded the last autosave. I had just almost wiped out most of the AI ships (only two heavily damaged AI destroyers were visible) and I was about ready to head South to go after the carrier and battleship. The menus still seemed to work, including scrolling and load games, but of course I could not select any units since the AI was still"thinking".

Either that particular situation required the AI to take more than 10 minutes to move, or there is some kind of looping or memory problem.

Do you still have the autosave and the output_log.txt file? Can you post it?

Hi henri, have you tried this hotfix?
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3853578

It resolves a problem with the symptoms you describe.

This fix will also be in this week's patch.

I don't have the autosave file any more, sorry. Will the hotfix install automatically on the Steam version like normal patches do? Or do I have to install it by hand?

This problem did not happen on my other more recent computer.

It should be fine to install the hotfix on the steam version. It will be overwritten when the official patch comes out through Steam.

I had this same problem, and you guys acted very promptly in producing a solution. Thanks!
