Hello.
The game just crashes after DistantWorlds.exe launch.
Steam version, Win7-64.
Please help. :)

Hi valdarkwall

It looks like you are missing either Windows Media Player or Internet Explorer. Both of these must be installed and enabled on your system to run Distant Worlds.

Check that the following are enabled (checked):
- Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off > Internet Explorer
- Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off > Media Features > Windows Media Player

Absolutely right, WMP was uninstalled (by me) years ago.
Now the game works, many thx!
