AF of 8+ have AV support doubled (Full Version)

Dante Fierro -> AF of 8+ have AV support doubled (5/31/2015 10:50:35 PM)

The latest AE update has the following line in the "Changed" section:

1. AF of 8+ have AV support doubled for purposes of determing support for air operations (complements fix 18 above)

Does this mean:

1) It costs double AV support points for determining air operations?
OR
2) The AV support is simply doubled at an AF 8 or greater?

Ah thanks! But I imagine it isn't shown doubled, it just is doubled for calculation purposes. Thus probably the wording.

If you aren't running one of the newer patches, you won't see it. The doubling was added in the last patch or the one before. I forget when.

Also note that it takes a turn for the base info screen to update. For example, one of my bases recently built to level 8. On day 1 it was level 7. At the end of day 1, it built to level 8. During the orders phase for day 2, it shows as level 8 but the Av Supp hasn't doubled yet. On Day 3, it will show as doubled. I assume this is actually calculated during the preliminary segments of the replay (calculating aerial superiority and the other things that happen at the beginning of the turn resolution).
