ORIGINAL: fsp1978 I have no problem paying full price for titles like WITW or WITE, especially as DLCs only provide this much content in a grand strategy game. I felt the initial prices for Panzer Corps and OOB were fair (OOB could have been €5 less, but oh well) and happily paid for all the DLCs and expansion packs that followed with PC, as those provided a great amount of additional gaming time. It was a fair model. The same goes for Paradox. Think of their games what you want, I was not sure about CK2, the game everyone was raving about so much, so I waited until it was like €7 oder €9. Bought it. Enjoyed it a lot. Bought several expansion packs for €30 total. Combat Mission is a game I love as well. But I don't agree with paying full price for every small installment when I had CM: Barbarossa to Berlin, still my favourit, covering the entire Eastern Front. It was the last one I have bought. Which one is CMANO? Afghanistan? I'm like you when it comes to the new CMx2 games and modules. I just bought one and that was the Italian campaign because I wanted more than just the Germans to fight. It's ok but you play more of a "are they there or are they" than you did in the original and in the original you get to see more of the action instead of just red tracers in the sky flying everywhere. I guess I just don't like the new spotting system. I enjoyed the borg spotting of the original and always will I guess. Plus, when you bought a theater in the original you got the "whole" theater not just pieces of it and then modules of the rest of it for $35 or more. I figured it up one time and if they make all the theaters and modules they talk about over there it will be upwards of $600 for the whole thing. I'm not payin that for any game or series. Well, maybe Norbsoft's if he makes an Ancients series. [&o] He makes the best tactical strategy game of them all imho. Never enjoyed any so much as his and his AI.
