ETF -> Steps for a LAN setup? (7/7/2015 6:09:39 PM)

Read the manual several times... can someone list the steps for a internal LAN game. We have no problem with internet (slower speed) Waterloo games just for some reason can't get it to work on a LAN. We LAN all the time with our machines in other programs......

Do you use a router? Have you open the game port 31791 on it?

Yes but what IP would one use. The INTERNAL 192......one?

Thanks

Exactly. I use the 192.###s between my laptop and desktop for testing MP all the time.

Ok thanks sir. Will try when the gang comes over Saturday night in the "bunker".....The wives up stairs "chatting for hours" while the "real men" do battle in the "bunker" :)

ok figured it out. Didn't think the host had to enter a port. Thanks worked like a charm. Nice and fast and in 4 hours of battle only one drop. Oh, that leads to the next question - is there an autosave. Couldn't find a load drop game or save game for MP sessions? Thanks!!

no save for mp as far as I know (very happy to be corrected on that)

Oh drat. Nothing worse than putting in a 3 hour battle and when you're just hitting a climax - someone drops......Hopefully this is not be a engine limitation and will be looked at. Need a auto save!
Thanks Chris.
