brucemcl777 -> switching unit postion (7/13/2015 12:47:55 PM)

I see the AI do this all the time where it switches a weak unit and a strong units postion - like castling in chess.

But I can't figure out how to do this myself as two ground units cannot occupy the same hex at the same time.

Is it limited to the AI, with a hotkey or am I just missing something obvious?

Select unit-1, Ctrl-click on unit-2.

Thanks Erik - that helped

Two other questions have come up.
1/ Is there any way to have a unit on garrison duty and have them wake up only if enemy comes into sight? For guarding supply bases for example.

2/ Playing Japaneses = I have 3 mechanized units stuck behind mountains on New Caledonia east side = any way to disband active units? I could use the points elsewhere.

As a comment the only thing that was holding me back from buying this was the listing on at least two reviews that the game was missing a move undo button - as if it were a bug - however after playing several scenarios I don't think it's an accident = it would allow too many ways to cheat and evade ambushes. Or am I nuts?

I do not have the definitive answers to these questions, but:

1) I believe the sleeping unit will defend itself. But someone posted that a sleeping AA-unit will not defend another unit that is being attacked by air.

2) There is currently no way to disband units in game, only in the deployment phase. Maybe you can move the unit to a coast hex, park a warship next to it and embark the land unit onto the anchor symbol..

Personally, I would not use Undo. Mistakes happen, especially in war. SNAFU [:)]
