If you already own a digital version of the game from our site, Steam (or anywhere else!) and would like to add a box and full colour printed manual to your collection, just click on the buy Boxed Upgrade button. You will receive a box of the product you have chosen, a printed manual in full colours and a DVD with in an interactive version of our catalogue. It is very simple and straight forward.

You don't have to register your game or send us your game serial number, just add the product to the cart and check out!

This option is currently available on a limited selection of titles:

- Gary Grigsby's War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945

- Distant Worlds: Universe

- Command: Modern Air Naval Operations Wargame of the Year Edition

We are planning to add more titles with this option so stay tuned!

Please note this is not a copy of the game and does not include a Steam code or serial. If you want to buy the game please go to the games page. This is an upgrade option for people who already own the digital game.

Please check here to upgrade your game!

Hi,
About WitE, is it the full manual and is it updated?
Thank you,

bigus -> RE: Box Upgrade Option now available on Matrix! (9/5/2015 9:38:47 PM)

I would also like to know if it's the full manual and not the first 5 sections of the manual.
I would consider buying if it's the full manual

xeroluck -> RE: Box Upgrade Option now available on Matrix! (9/5/2015 11:49:03 PM)

it's not the full manual, just the firsts sections.

wombatofwar -> RE: Box Upgrade Option now available on Matrix! (2/17/2016 9:05:32 AM)

wish i had known it was a pointless manual extract before i forked over the cash for it.

its pretty damn deceitful business practices. no where in the advertising does it mention its only an extract

bazjak -> RE: Box Upgrade Option now available on Matrix! (12/10/2016 2:42:43 AM)

Wish I'd known that
Been waiting three weeks now in anticipation and only just noticed this thread
This is not on
I feel cheated as it was not mentioned
Please send me the FULL manual

Hi Danielle can you please clarify is this the FULL Hardback Manual like in DC Barbarossa for example?or just a "short note"thanks,as i have WiTE in cart and want to make a decision.

If it is the same manual that has been shipped with the game then it is B6(?) format, 130 pages.

Blutch -> RE: Box Upgrade Option now available on Matrix! (10/3/2017 8:03:26 PM)

OMG ! It is a poor manual which even is not full ....

What a wrong purchase :(

heliodorus04 -> RE: Box Upgrade Option now available on Matrix! (10/14/2017 1:42:25 AM)

I bought the original boxed set, which cost $10 more than digital only at that time.
The manual was out of date at release.

Yes, it's deceitful. Never buy the boxed version of a computer game. It's pointless. I've given away $10 for worse, but it certainly taught me to warn the rest who can be saved.

Denniss -> RE: Box Upgrade Option now available on Matrix! (10/14/2017 8:07:35 PM)

The manual of WitW is a completely different beast and really worth the extra money.

von Beanie -> RE: Box Upgrade Option now available on Matrix! (5/18/2021 11:33:42 PM)

Back in late March or April when I paid for the game, I paid for the upgraded version with this manual. I vaguely recall it would be sent in May. We're now halfway through May. When can I expect it to arrive?

nYn -> RE: Box Upgrade Option now available on Matrix! (6/27/2021 8:17:44 AM)

So is it worth to pay for upgrade?
