Howdy, just had this error when trying to install hotfix.

There is an error with your games serial number.

Any ideas?

Operating System and I recommend (had similar errors before) to install/apply with admin rights; somehow it does the trick.

Please try Oberst_Klink suggestion:

Open the game installation folder, locate and select a file named autorun.exe. Press the right mouse button and select Properties. Click on the Compatibility tab. Tick the option Run this program as an administrator. Click on Apply and Ok. Run the game and check if the issue persists.
