He certainly had a long and event filled life.... So many others were cut short by that war (and all others), I'm glad to see that some did indeed live to tell the tales...

In the sixties, dad took me to a local Holiday Inn meeting room where we met Adolf Galland, Douglas Bader and Johnny Johnson. It was a sponsored event, cost "fans" something like five bucks to get in.
They were very animated in retelling exploits, and they knew each other intimately.
