I'm sure this is already on the wishlist.

I think most people want the capability to draw graphics in the game itself. I think my version is a bit easier from a coding perspective. This is something MajorH did for the version of TacOpsCav we used at CGSC.

Instead of drawing in the game itself why not just give us the ability to import an overlay. The overlay could be created using any 3rd party paint program. Although not a paint program I prefer Inkscape because it's free and vector based. The workflow to create the overlay is fairly simple, import the game map into the paint/drawing program, draw your overlay as a separate layer, then export just the overlay layer as a png file. Ok there may be a little more to it than that but that's the workflow I used.

In the game all the player does is import the overlay image. As far as the overlay graphics, you can get as detailed as you want. Draw unit boundaries, phaselines, ABF or SBF positions, etc. When I was at USMA all I would give the cadets is boundaries and PLs, they had to do the rest.

Anyway I figure this might be a more doable short-term solution.
