As the title suggests, those ships are missing in the scenario and i just want to know if it is intentional or not.

You can get the same info from within the game itself by looking up the reinforcement ships, or land units/aircraft groups as appropriate.  Accessible with the "I" short cut key.

I thought so. I thought I remembered him changing the arrival to the historical date.

Hi, yes I did Paxmondo - they arrive on Dec 8th at Singapore. I would have weighed in earlier, but the OP quickly found out what he needed to know.

As you mentioned, I changed their arrival date so they would not hasten to a premature doom.

Brian,

Well at least my memory isn't totally shot yet. [:D]

Nice to see you dropping in yet. Trust all is well.

Thank you PaxMondo [8D]

By the way, I have been involved in an ongoing team-game of Scen 198 (the Dec 8th stock equivalent), and I am happy to report it's very bug free and has been interesting and challenging for both sides.
Both Allied and Japanese Teams like the fact that you can buy most static command units into expeditionary forces through political points now (I doubled the political points for both sides and made many permanent static units able to change commands - so the players can prosecute the war how they see fit...excluding forces that should never move).

After extended play a few left-over stock oddities have surfaced - which I am addressing.

My biggest focus now is redoing China.
The RHS Team did a complete re-write of China which is quite extensive, but frankly - that may be impossible to incorporate into a stock based data base (space allowed... and a LOT of typing), so my resort is to make THE MOST out of a semi-stock Chinese data base and OOB, to recreate a more realistic situation in China.

The only other development of note is again reworking the Japanese Army fighters (Oscar & Nate) to be more effective if possible (they already do well against obsolete fighters...but come up short against a strong defense of P-40-s & Hurricanes).

Anyway - that's my infomercial for the day ....update coming :)

Big B -> RE: Update near (10/18/2015 12:36:14 AM)

Update is near completion(8.75). After much play-testing, it is quite apparent that with Da-Babes Gnarly Asian Roads - supply doesn't move enough in China.
The solution I have decided upon is to go back to original B-Mod-WitP theory and enhance Chinese supply, while tying down enough Chinese Corps to keep China from expelling the IJA single-handily.

So now, taking a cue from RHS research, China will be much more powerful and better supplied - but enough Corps are static (unless kicked out of their starting locations) to exclude China from expelling Japan from Chinese soil... unless the Japanese create their own Tar-Baby.
If All the Chinese Army is freed up to move - it will be difficult for the Japanese to hold their gains in China.

Also included in this update is a re-definition OOB-wise of Chiang's Central Army.
The stock model is a 9 Division Corps for all Chinese Corps (much depleted).

Chinese Central Army units are modeled for a 6 Div Corps, (about 84 Div's in all)substantially better trained and led(all the officers were specially Military Academy trained), filled out and equipped at near German trained and equipped levels (though smaller). They also include an inherent field artillery regiment per Corps, as well as a battery of 150mm Mortars (the largest weapon mass-produced in China at the time), and finally some inherent AA capability as well as reccon troops, (remember - these are Corps - not small divisions).
The final result will see a China with a three-tired Army. At the top will be a substantial Chinese Central Army Units(trained by the KMT, quite capable and loyal). Next, run of the mill stock based large corps - very under-strength. At the bottom will be a large number of Chinese Warlord units - all static (un-loyal to the governments dictates- there fore initially static, holding their territory).

Finally, included will be a correction of errata found during play (all minor).

So if you are a fan by chance - hold on for a short wile and I'll announce on this thread - what I hope will be the LAST update.
