Haha. I'm in a similar boat. The Steam sale caught my eye, but I didn't really know about the game and it looked a little complicated, so stayed my hand.

Since then I've been reading more about it, wanting something slower and more complex than WarGame Red Dragon, and kicking myself.

Bad timing on my part, really. Still, if the gods smile and there is another sale soon, I'll be there!

btw, why not just wait for the expansion. That way you can see if you really like it and take advantage of the discount if you do.

I'd rather not get the expansion because I'm sure I'll like the full game, and the creative aspect of making scenarios anywhere in the world appeals most to me - I do like the idea of the expansion (and imagine I'll get it eventually), but I'd rather save the money for that to spend on the base game in the short term.

I'll get it for myself at Christmas, but I'm an impatient fellow, so keeping my eye on it in the meantime!

Well yes, of course, but didn't have a Steam account at the time. But hey, there hasn't been a s Steam ale in almost three months, just pointing out that there's one due...and if you could include Order of Battle: Pacific during the same sale, well, you'd move two units anyway. [&o]..LOL
