If you are interested in naval warfare of this era, 1900 through WW1, this is a great game. The value in the game is in how it works and not so much in how it looks. If you need eye-candy this is not it, but it does get you deeply into designing and fighting ships, in the political tensions and rapidly developing technology of the time. The game gives you varied opportunities to manage and fight the great navies of the world with large budgets, or maybe more interesting, is to choose a smaller nation and manage with a lot less technology and budget. It is not often that you can create designs strategically, then get the chance to prove them in action.[:)]
