Been playing it for a couple weeks now and have to say it brings me back to the excitement of my first days playing Uncommon Valor (when the concept of the WitP engine was still new to me). It really has all the right stuff IMO. The graphics are nothing to write home about but the game concept is so new and exciting to me that it doesn't really seem to matter all that much. A good deal of your time is spent in spreadsheet mode anyway, managing your fleet assets and the design and construction of new ships. I don't know how many people here are familiar with the application Springsharp for designing hypothetical ships based on tonnage limitations, but RtW has something very similar build into it (albeit more simplified than Springsharp). Of course my ultimate dream now is to someday have RtW and WitP coopt each other into one super "what if" game. All in all RtW is pretty amazing I think. 4 and 1/2 stars out of 5 for me (I would give it 5 stars but then if the graphics are ever improved I would have to rate it 6 stars and break the scale).
