HeinzHarald -> MG game menus try to load a script from xvideos (router hijack?) (10/31/2015 11:32:36 PM)

I believe my dads router is hijacked (a DLink DIR-655). He used to complain about ads popping up out of nowhere, and I got them too when I brought a computer along. So I updated and factory reset his router on my last visit. This seemed to improve the situation, but when I tried to run Northern Inferno earler today I noticed everything wasn't all right.

When I open the game menu for any MG game (I've tried three) I get a script error when the ad is about to refresh, with a URL pointing towards a javascript that obviously wasn't what the launcher intended to run.

I do not believe the ISP is hijacking traffic. All pings and trace routes I've tried have looked fine.

Anyone have any advice on how to track the issue down, without buying a new router right off the bat?

download ccleaner and malwarebytes and install them and update them both, update pc and make sure your anti virus is also update

go offline,

run ccleaner then malwarebytes, then your anti virus program, then run ccleaner again and select reg repair and re boot, see if errors still happen
