RangerX3X -> Append Off Map Bug (11/15/2015 12:08:19 PM)

I did a search for “append” but could not find anything. I think there is a new bug with scenario creation or editing in 2.0.10: now when attempting to add off map artillery, the “Append – Off Map” button cannot be selected in the editor.

To get it to work I have to add the unit as on map which will then allow the “Append – Off Map” button to be selected. Then I can delete the on map units and append off map units without any issue.

Thankfully this does not seem to affect off map air support as the “Append – Off Map” button is active as soon as you select an aircraft:

We will add this to the bug list. Can you try just the artillery Battery formation and see what that does to the button? My guess is the larger unit is being seen as on map with the number of non arty types in the mix. Nice find. [:)]

After placing an artillery battalion, all three buttons are active: “Select” (to replace the one I just added), “Append – On Map” to subordinate it on map to the one I just added, and “Append – Off Map” to subordinate it off map.

Tim - Which map were you using to build your scenario?

When I first noticed the suspected problem it was CA 3 Red Storm, but then for the screenshot above it was CA 1 Red Storm:

Edit 1: Updated with a video.
