I had a Naga once and I used it for CMANO as well. I can't remember all details, but I think I was able to distinguish 6 to 8 of the 12 thumb buttons. I think I used to map the F-keys to the thumb buttons.

I'm having success with a Logitech G700s - I have F1, F2, F3, shift, control and alt all bound to buttons. Very good so far! Though I could do with a few extra buttons... I've also used a Wacom Intuos Pro graphics tablet, so I could play sitting on the couch. That worked very well, I'd recommend it!
