Hi all,

I played both scenario 1 and 2 against the AI a couple of times and really enjoyed it, although on historical difficulty it's mostly over in mid 1943. Therefor I wanted to give the Ironman scenario a try, the Japanese have some more units, I read, so I was hoping for a prolonged war, fighting as the allies, this time on hard difficulty. Again just against the AI. So.. Giving orders took my about a working day.

Garrisonning everything in India and China
Moving the remaining untis from India to Chittagong-Ledo Line.
Pulling Back and forming a line in China
Clickfesting all the Subs
Retreating all from Malaya to Singapore
Retreating all from Phillipines to Iron Triangle
Orders in DEI, Oz, NZ, EC.
moving all from canada to Rupert.
Sending all the ships to relevant harbors

etc etc etc etc etc. etc..
the entire clickfest, you probably know what I mean.

Now, couple of days further. my Harddrive crashed. I want to start the Ironman scenario again, but I don't really want to spend another day giving those orders..

I was wondering if anyone has a Savegame from this scenario right before the end of their Allied first turn and would be willing to share it with me? That would be really great, as I kind of dreaddoing that entire clickfest again.

thanks in advance!

Eric

Read somewhere that the AE community was supposed to be helpful.
Reread my post, maybe i phrased it arrogantly or whatever...

Not a helpful community, that much can be deduced.
:-(

I play IJ, so I am of no help to you.

BUT, if I was, I'm still not sure I would be of help. You haven't specified which scenario you are playing. Ironman has a number of scenarios. Further, most people, myself included, don't play a stock Ironman. The Ironman I play is a personal mod that addresses some minor shortcomings that I have found over the years (much higher invasion reinforcements (particularly AC), additional on demand reinforcements (diversion from Europe), continued build up from '44 instead of the historical slacking off, etc.). So, even if I had a savegame it would do you no good.

Like Pax Mondo, I read your post but could not think of any way to help you, other than to take your drive to a company that specializes in data recovery from crashed hard drives.
I do not play Ironman, and my stock scenario game took me more than a day to set up the first turn so I am envious that you could do it that quickly!

You might try re-posting your request in the technical forum or the main forum just above this one - the most experienced user who play exotic scenarios tend to use those forums.

My suggestion to you is this. If you can't recover the data, Start the scenario but you don't have to do everything on turn one. Work on the front line, TF's at sea, Bases, Any TF's you have to get going. Critical stuff. Turn two, Respond to turn one Japanese moves and work on secondary stuff. Not all of it, just the important secondary stuff. And so on. I have played 6 PBEM's, 4 of which were test games, and probably 12 to 16 games with the AI plus another 8 or so test games against the AI. After all of that, if I did all of the first turn stuff on the first turn, I would be hanging from the ceiling in a rubber room.[sm=00000289.gif] So I do a little at a time....GP

I played ironman scenario 10 as allies and i have every single day saved. My difficulty is hard. So maybe i can help you.
But in burma i fortified my armies there. No exodus to india.
