Hi all! Larry Bond’s Harpoon Ultimate - Commander’s Edition has been updated to version 2015.027! There are lot of bug fixes and new features so be sure to check the changelog below! You can download the update from here 2015.027 Changelog: Cautions: • The Platform Editor (PE) no longer works with Access 97 and Access 2000. • This update will over-write your pfData2005.mdb and commondb.res files, make a backup before installation if you need the existing files! • Windows Vista and above are supported though the game should work quite well on Windows XP. • The Scenario Editor is now Wscenedt32.exe rather than wscenedt.exe as it was in previous versions. New Features: • 32-bit Scenario Editor. This means the Scenario Editor will now work in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows! • Increase from 2047 to 4096 items per database annex. In practice this means new Installations can be added, more aircraft loadouts, etc. A side-effect is that there is no longer a requirement for contiguous ID numbering. A DB author could reserve a block of say 500 IDs in each annex for end-users to further make modifications and their own additions. • Air to Air Refueling Tankers can now offload fuel more than once per sortie. Now you really can cross the Atlantic with a single tanker! • Scenario Orders (if they exist) are now saved and loaded into and from saved games so that the user can always review the scenario orders. • More vastly expanded the ExportDLL interface. The entire simulation engine can now be replaced • Platform Editor now works with 64-bit versions of MS Access. • Scenario Author can now dictate whether AI groups stay on their plotted paths. Previously AI groups were always willing and able to chase targets of opportunity. • Sensors now work at the TooHigh/Suborbital altitude band so shootdowns of ballistic missiles are much more likely now. • Scenarios can now be assigned a starting date and time. Previously the start date/time was based on the system clock. This gives the scenario author control over the initial day/night situation as well as increase the suspension of disbelief for historical scenarios. • Scenario author can change unit names of platforms. • Updated HCDB Database. Bug Fixes/Workarounds: • Platform Display Next/Previous button behavior improved. • A number of fixes for very large scenarios including the ability to have 255 aircraft/misiles per unit. • Aground checks now check the actual position of the unit instead of the detected position. • Improvements to missiles using mid-course guidance. • Many other minor fixes, tweaks, and improvements.
