Triode -> Radio command missiles and guidance through TV channel (12/12/2015 4:33:50 PM)

Hi,
can I ask question about future plans?
Are there is plans to do something with radio command missiles + nonRadar sensors?

As example SA-15 ,Tor-M2K
Tor missile in database have SARH seekers this is wrong thing ,that led to :
Tor recive info about target from , as example , E-2D , he cant fire until FCR will able to lock target
(insufficient reflection , etc.)

in real life, Tor have visual TV camera and so called "visir regime", when missile can be fired at target detected by visual TV camera using radar only as command channel to missile

but with SARH seeker missile dont fire

The same applied to many other systems with radio command guided missile and visual chanells that currently have missiles with SARH seeker in database

this anti-air systems able to fire radio command missile with guidance through optical chanell :
SA-22(IR and LLTV channel),SA-19(TV station 1A29 ,can fire missiles only in visir regime with TV camera),SA-15(TV station starting from Tor-M1),SA-8(TV stations 9Sh33 or 9Sh38-2 "Karat"),SA-3(TV station "Karat-2" 9Sh33A),SA-2(TV station "Karat-2" 9Sh33A), Navy systems SA-N-11(TV station on firing module),SA-N-9(TV station in K-12-1),SA-N-4(TV station in ZIF-122),SA-N-1(Volna-P,TV station 9Sh33)

This "visir regime" used as backup in case of heavy jamming , if you want ambush someone or if radar cant see target while TV station can

So, is devs plan to do something with this ?

Yeah this is a known shortcoming and is on the to-do list, hopefully for 1.12 or 1.13. No promises on date, though.
