WarHunter -> Soviet Replacements (12/13/2015 11:28:08 PM)

When do replacements begin to arrive for the soviet player?
Is there a way to attach or detach divisions to rebuild a shattered Army?
Great Game!

Never. Sov gets none. In a different game I'd be complaining about that, but I think it works for this one. You get your reinforcements at full TOE, which does make up for that to a degree.

Detached divisions will sometimes automatically reassign themselves to a nearby HQ if their original HQ is dead.

Thanks for the info. Have noticed when the last unit is gone the HQ disbands. So you need at least 1 unit to keep the HQ alive.
Maybe its time to send the HQ's out for a glorious departure. So the remaining units can reattach to a more robust HQ.

Or just leave Khrushchev, in the HQ and hand a pistol to the General. As a remedy to Stalin's paranoia. [sm=sterb003.gif]

Hi,

Soviet Divisions that have been orphaned will automatically reassign to the nearest HQ (provided it passes a few checks such as being cut-off) but this is probability based due to the organisational rigidity of the Soviet Command Structure. It can take a while.

Soviet HQ's who have lost all their divisions will automatically disband and the Germans will gain PP's as a result. Not a big deal vs. the AI but something you probably don't want if playing PBEM.

The Soviets don't receive replacements as they were, in '41, predominately focused on forming new divisions and armies, not replenishing beaten up ones. There were exceptions to this but they were insignificant compared to the overwhelming need for new Armies. A lot of depleted divisions had their manpower used to seed the conscript divisions with a few experienced men.

Cheers,
Cameron
